1956 VW Beetle – Full Restoration

This is a pretty straight car that will need heat channels, front and rear aprons. The rest is a really great start to a project. The car will be brought back as original as possible.

Four-tab hood, W-Decklid, correct doors.

The rust is all along the heat channels on both sides. Rear bumper brackets have taken a hit as has the rear apron.

Not too bad overall

The front is real straight, with only a light tap. The main bones of the pan look to be in good shape.

Aug. 1965 Type I Rear Axle #8230105 with corresponding brakes

Front brakes are correct, beam was swapped, presumably with the same 1965 since it has a steering damper bracket.

Wolfburgwest has some of the thickest metal for repair panels. They are always a top quality choice.

After clearing out the car, I can see the top of the floor halves. A little damage around the shift coupler and in the rear corners.

The front have holes as well. Complete channels are in order.

The pieces laying where they go, and the restoration begins.
