1963 Ford Thunderbird – Paint

The car is sanded down and shot with an epoxy primer to prevent any issues from below.

I started with painting the top, engine bay, trunk, and jams in the original color blue.

Shoot the inside of the hood and trunk lids with base coat and clear it all.

I masked the top, painted the top rail white, covered it, painted the side blue, and sprayed clear on the rail and side.

Now it’s time to give the car a new look and start the assembly.

Everything is cleaned, inspected, repaired, polished, blasted, and painted before being installed back on the car.

The engine sure sounds good, but looks out of place in the car now.

That engine bay looks a lot better!
