The rear body mounts were blasted, and drilled to weld onto the rear body mount panel.




Since there isn’t any handles, I located a solenoid in the door, and ran a rod up to the forward tab on the interior latch release bar. It should keep everything under the vent window to prevent any interference when the widow is rolled down.






I run boles through the hood, ground the head off and spaced the lower with a washer to help fill in the intent. These are the seats that came with the 1972, this is definitely the bug that keeps giving for this project. Quite a few repair panels, and the seats.



They were high-back, and low-back are what should be in the 1966. With a little modification, we now have 1967 style seats.




The upholstery is all pulled over the padding and left to relax before final attachment. Any additional padding will be added before they are finished.




The frames were all pressure washed, sanded, and painted. This should be sharp interior in this car.

This type of seat comes has a foam kit to go with it to add extra padding to the bolsters.


The kits are loose fit for now and will be stretched a little later.




The wiring harness was laid out in the car and floor insulation was laid as well. This is where this project stalled for a few years. It was moved down to the barn, later the wheels were pulled for another car, and some new rims and tires that were on the shelf went on during the storage.
