The Pan
The pan being used for this build is a 1971 that have been around for quite awhile. I picked up the pan back in the late 90’s and it has been used with a few different cars over the years. It has another engine in it at this point that won’t be used during the build.

The pan halves are in good shape, had to have had a couple spots welded, but overall good condition.

Everything was scraped, wire brushed, and painted

The spindles were swapped out for 2.5″ drop spindles with Karmann Ghia disk brakes for added stopping.

This is the shop 1776cc engine that will be going in the car. It will be getting a few performance add-ons, detail work, and tuning. The wheels are from the convertible that was just finished and should look great on this car. They are VW GT wheel that were blasted and painted with PAU – Granite Pearlcoat.
