The 1957 is getting a new tire carrier, bumper brackets, and front apron.
There wasn’t much left of the tire carrier and I had a complete after market front clip laying around.
There was rust behind the driver side bumper bracket that had to be cut out. I also had to fabricate the lower lip for both side where it meet the bottom of the carrier.

This is a picture from when I bought the car up in Minot, ND. This car was a bit of a drive to go pick up! Almost in Canada at that point!
I came through a real good snow storm on the way back from picking up the car, and was working up in Steamboat Springs at the time. By the time I got to Steamboat this is what the car looked like. Walden pass wasn’t real fun, and it was slow going the whole way back. I really didn’t get much sleep before going back to work the next morning.
This is the current project. I am doing a rat rod with this one and it’s going to be just as crusty looking when I am done. Right now I am welding bumper brackets, front tire carrier, and front apron.
